ISCWP CFP for Eastern APA, with Themes

The International Society for Comparative Studies of Chinese and Western Philosophy (ISCWP) plans to sponsor one or more panels at the 2010 Eastern APA conference, to be held December 27-30, 2010, at the Boston Marriott Copley Place. We hereby invite submissions.

I received several suggestions for possible THEMES: if you have an interest in one of the following, please let me know (though submissions of whole or partial panels on other themes, and of individual papers unrelated to these themes, are also welcome):

  • Daoist Philosophical Psychology
  • Ritual and Contemporary Ethics
  • Comparative Perspectives on Love
  • Natural Religion in Chinese and Western Traditions

Let me also remind you that in order to facilitate collaborating with colleagues working outside the Chinese tradition, non-ISCWP members can propose papers to be included in an ISCWP-sponsored panel, or even propose a panel that is related to the ISCWP’s aims.

As before, we also continu! e to welcome panels that do not engage in explicit cross-tradition dialogue, as well as individual paper proposals.

The deadline is April 30, 2010. Please let me know if you have any questions.
