The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Philosophy Department is seeking to appoint a Research Assistant Professor to build research capacity in Chinese Philosophy. Please read more for details of the job and the application process.
Details:

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Appointment will be made on a fixed-term 2-year contract, renewable subject to performance, funding availability and mutual agreement.

A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.

The starting date of the position should be no later than 1 September 2025.
Requirements:

A PhD with a focus on the study of Chinese philosophy.

A strong publication record and the potential to develop successful grant proposals.

The appointee is expected to write grant proposals and develop collaborations within and beyond the School of Humanities and Social Science.
