SACP Graduate Student Essay Contest

(Very last minute, but better late than never…) The Society for Asian and Comparative Philosophy sponsors an annual graduate student essay contest in association with their annual conference.  Students should submit an essay of no more than 25 pages (or 10,000 words)  AND a 300 word abstract to both Al Albergate (alalbergate@aol.com) and Peimin Ni (nip@gvsu.edu) by Dec. 31, 2009.

First prize: $1,000; second, $500; and third, $250. These amounts are not straight cash awards, but applied to conference expenses. The idea is to make it easier for  prize-winning students to attend the annual conference. The conference will be June 18-21, 2010, at Asilomar, near Monterey (CA).  For more information on the conference, go to: http://www.sacpweb.org/.

  1. The SACP has extended the deadline until Jan. 20, 2010. Please also note that this includes paper abstracts/panel proposals from all interested parties, not just graduate students! See the website for more details.
