Chinese and Comparative Philosophy 中國哲學與比較哲學

2013 Northeast Conference on Chinese Thought — Logistics

All the logistical information you will need, I hope, is collected here. For the conference schedule, see here. For the home page, see here.

Speakers are automatically registered, and we will have name tags for you when you arrive at the conference site on Friday morning.

Others who would like to attend for all or part of the conference need to pre-register if you would like to be included in meals.

Conference speakers will be staying at the Inn at Middletown, 70 Main St,  Middletown, CT 06457.

The conference will take place at the Mansfield Freeman Center for East Asian Studies (343 Washington Terrace, Middletown CT 06457) on the campus of Wesleyan University. Street parking is free and readily available.

For out-of-town speakers, two nights’ lodging at the Inn at Middletown is provided. If you choose to stay Saturday night (11/9), you are responsible for that night’s lodging, though you should only be charged the preferred Wesleyan rate of $129. Speakers must contact the Inn no later than October 1, 2013 to guarantee your room. When you call or email to guarantee the room (and, if you wish, reserve the room for Saturday night as well), please give your name and tell them you are with the Wesleyan Philosophy / NECCT group. If you have any difficulties, please contact Beth Pruchnic, Director of Marketing (860-854-6310).

For other pre-registered out-of-town attendees, we have arranged for a lower-than-normal rate at the Inn at Middletown of $145. (Sorry it’s not lower than that; this is the best we could do!) Please make your own reservation, explaining that you are attending the conference. If you have any difficulties, please contact Beth Pruchnic, Director of Marketing (860-854-6310).

There are some other, somewhat less expensive options only a short drive from the conference site:
