A glowing review by Yu Kam-por of Paul Goldin’s book Confucianism (Acumen, 2011) has just appeared. Among other things, Yu highlight’s Goldin’s discussion of “shu.” Goldin’s book concentrates on the classical period, concluding with a short though informative chapter on “Neo-Confucianism and Confucianism Today.”
I ordered the book on the basis of the review. Still, I’m curious what others at this blog have (or will have) to say about the book.
I’m supposed to review the book for Dao; should have it done by November-ish. Guess I’ll have to read it.
