Chinese Philosophy reminds us that our relations with other people and nature, with our past and posterity, shape us and our understanding of the world. This intuition has led to various original ideas, from the Confucian relational self to Daoist accounts of change to the Chinese Buddhist vision of an infinite net of all beings. In times of outmoded individualism, ecological crisis, and unprecedented interactions with non-human artificial “agents,” the message of Chinese Philosophy appears exceptionally timely and relevant. This calls for both action and a responsible and careful reflection upon our place in the web of relations, and it is in that framework that, as the European Association for Chinese Philosophy, we are pleased to invite all scholars of Chinese Philosophy to come to the Central European city of Poznan and contribute to this important dialogue during the EACP’s 6th Biennial Conference on July 1-4, 2027.

Following previous years, we are extending our invitation to scholars of Confucianism, Daoism, Chinese Buddhism, and other currents of both premodern and modern Chinese Philosophy from within and beyond Europe, anticipating a truly global exchange of ideas and arguments. This spirit is also reflected in the list of keynote speakers, who agreed to join and inspire our discussions:
