The Society for Asian and Comparative Philosophy (SACP) will hold its 59th Annual Conference at Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) in Seoul, South Korea, from June 4–7, 2027.
Conference Theme: Embodiment and Agency Across Texts and Traditions
The conference invites scholars working in Asian and comparative philosophy to explore questions of embodiment, lived experience, agency, ethics, community, and our relationship with the world across diverse philosophical texts and traditions. The conference will feature keynote lectures by Yong Huang (Fudan University) and Elisa Freschi (University of Toronto).
Call for Proposals: SACP welcomes individual paper proposals, panel proposals, and alternative-format sessions, including roundtables and workshops. Proposal Deadline: November 15, 2026. Individual paper proposals should include a title and a 200–300 word abstract, along with the presenter’s name, affiliation, and email address.
