The successful candidate will teach a 3-3 load with standard scholarship and service expectations, and will have the opportunity for both teaching and research mentorship by a highly supportive, collegial department.

We seek a colleague with a strong teaching record and commitment to teaching undergraduate liberal studies courses. The area of specialization is open, but preference will be given to candidates who can teach Eastern Religious Traditions and a general introduction to religious studies.

The Philosophy and Religion program offers a BA in philosophy with major concentrations in both Philosophy and Religion and also contributes robustly to the University’s Liberal Studies program. Our departmental emphasis is on issues at the intersection of philosophy and religion, particularly in the ethical, social, and political dimensions that impact people’s lives, and as such we offer students a number of engaged learning opportunities.
